This guide follows the original Black Ops map. Use the linked game’s current prompts for browser-specific inputs.
Collect and use a P.E.S.
The Pressurized External Suit lets you survive areas without oxygen. A locker is available after teleporting to the Moon, and additional P.E.S. lockers are placed in airlocks. Pick up the suit and pay attention to whether it is equipped before crossing into a vacuum.
Do not plan a long trip through an airless area without it. If you are new to the map, learn where the nearby locker and airlock are before you experiment with equipment swaps.
Treat airlocks as route landmarks
Airlocks connect the station’s major areas and provide places to change equipment. The wiki describes their breathable state after power is on. When learning the map, use them as recognizable checkpoints on your path rather than running through without looking.
Keep the next safe location in mind. Moon adds an environmental decision to ordinary zombie movement: the shortest path is not useful if you lack the equipment for it.
Understand the Hacker swap
The Hacker and P.E.S. share an equipment slot. Picking up the Hacker replaces the suit in your inventory; you can obtain a P.E.S. again at a locker. They are not two items you can carry simultaneously.
Choose a breathable area and understand your next route before swapping. For a first survival session, maintaining the suit and learning the layout is a simpler objective than rushing an unfamiliar Hacker interaction.
Recognize the Groom Lake link
Moon’s mainframe connects Griffin Station with Groom Lake, the Earth-side area associated with Pack-a-Punch. That makes it a different upgrade route from Kino’s projector room or Der Riese’s gate at spawn.
Learn the relevant power and teleporter prompts before planning a return. This opening guide focuses on equipment and navigation; it does not promise that the original multi-step Easter egg can be completed in this solo browser build.
A useful first-run objective
- Collect the P.E.S. and confirm your oxygen protection.
- Locate the next airlock and a path back to a locker.
- Find a dependable weapon and continue toward power.
- Practice moving between known areas while keeping the equipment state in mind.
- Attempt a more complicated objective only after the basic route is comfortable.
